ROLES ON THE TEAM
Builder
The builder designs and constructs the robot based on each season's challenge. They work with metal, screwdrivers and other industrial equipment. The builder can use Computer Aided Design (CAD) to design a robot.
Programmer
The programmer programs the robot to function in both driving and autonomous running. The programmer uses C++ as the main programming language, and incorporates many concepts of knowledge into the code.
Driver
The driver operates the robot at tournaments, and does both matches against other teams as well as skills challenges. The driver has fast reactions, can operate with a controller, and is able to collaborate and listen to instructions.
Scout
The scout gathers information for the team at competitions about other teams, to improve the strategy. During the season, the scout also takes inspiration from other team's strategies. The scout will also write documents about the team's robot. This role is usually combined with another role.
Strategy
The strategist comes up with strategies at competitions, as well as the strategy for the entire season. The strategist will also communicate with other teams at competitions. This role is usually combined with another role.
Business
The business team takes care of all sponsorship projects, marketing campains and other external relations. The business team also manages the team budget, and communicates with new team members. This role is usually combined with another role.
